Join Us For The Purple Halo Gala
The Purple Halo Gala, our 3rd Annual Gala fundraiser supporting the victims of domestic and sexual violence, will take place on Thursday, October 24th, 2024, at the Historic Black Knight. We need your support! We are seeking sponsors, donations of goods, and gift certificates from merchants in our community.
This fundraiser is a Masquerade, Gala style party, featuring food, drinks and entertainment by DJ Nabyz. We will also hear the true story of Angie Pye’s experiences.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the AWAY Gala, and in doing so, support our communities! We will be using our website, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, in addition to email marketing to advertise the Gala and thank supporters.
About AWAY
The focus of AWAY, formerly the Women’s Resource Center is to protect victims of all backgrounds of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking. AWAY is a private, West Virginia non-profit agency that provides temporary emergency shelter, counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy and other supportive services for victims, survivors, and witnesses of domestic violence and sexual violence. Services are provided free of charge, 24/7 at our shelter in Beckley, WV as well as in our outreach offices located in Raleigh (Beckley), Fayette (Fayetteville), Summers (Hinton), and Nicholas (Summersville) counties.
