The Purple Halo Gala, our 4th Annual Gala fundraiser supporting the victims of domestic and sexual violence, will take place on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at the Historic Black Knight.

About AWAY
The focus of AWAY, formerly the Women’s Resource Center is to protect victims of all backgrounds of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking. AWAY is a private, West Virginia non-profit agency that provides temporary emergency shelter, counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy and other supportive services for victims, survivors, and witnesses of domestic violence and sexual violence. Services are provided free of charge, 24/7 at our shelter in Beckley, WV as well as in our outreach offices located in Raleigh (Beckley), Fayette (Fayetteville), Summers (Hinton), and Nicholas (Summersville) counties.
